The Acadia 50" Tall Accent Storage Cabinet and all of our other pieces are a tribute to nature’s perfection and imperfections—the knots, grains, and textures that told the story of the material’s origins. Furniture should not only serve a functional purpose but also should embody the artistry of mother nature herself.

How It Is Made

  • 1. Lumber Cutting and Shaping

The process begins with the careful selection of quality lumber. The raw wood is then precisely sawed into various dimensions and shapes to for door panels, legs, drawer sides, and tops.

  • 2. Piece-by-Piece Parquetry

For products featuring parquet designs, individual wood segments are hand-pieced together. Each piece is carefully arranged, with frequent recutting and reshaping, which demands patience and precision to ensure both structural integrity and visual harmony.

  • 3. Wood Joinery

Joinery techniques are used to construct the core components of the furniture—frames, drawers, cabinet bodies, and doors. This includes butt joints, dovetail joints, tongue-and-groove connections.

  • 4. Surface Preparation

Next, all wood surfaces undergo careful preparation. Wood filler is applied to seal nail holes, joints, and minor cracks. This step sets the foundation for a smooth, seamless appearance and reinforces the structure ahead of finishing.

  • 5. Rough Sanding

After filler has dried, surfaces are roughly sanded to level out inconsistencies between panels, remove excess filler, and smooth down rough wood fibers. This creates a uniform texture, setting the stage for later fine sanding and finishing.

  • 6. Metal Cutting and Welding

In parallel, the metal components—such as legs, frames, and hardware—are fabricated. Steel or iron parts are cut to exact dimensions and welded into structural elements. This phase requires precision to ensure the metal aligns perfectly with the wood structures.

  • 7. Deburring and Polishing

After welding, the metal pieces are deburred to remove any sharp edges or leftover material from the cutting process. Polishing ensures a clean, smooth surface that is ready to be coated and assembled.

  • 8. Protective Coating and Painting

Both metal and wood parts then move to the finishing area. Metal components are powder-coated to prevent rust and add durability. Wood surfaces are stained, painted, or sealed.

  • 9. Final Assembly

All finished components are brought together in the assembly stage. Each piece of furniture is carefully constructed, with drawers aligned, doors mounted, and all hardware and decorative elements installed.

  • 10. Quality Inspection

Every item undergoes a comprehensive quality control inspection. This includes structural integrity checks, finish consistency, alignment of moving parts, and adherence to design specifications. Any piece that doesn’t meet the quality standard is reworked or rejected.

  • 11. Labeling, Packaging, and Shipping

Once labeled, the furniture is then securely packaged using shock-proof materials to prevent damage in transit. Ten will be randomly chosen to undergo a 4-feet drop test. If none is damaged, the items will be ready to ship to your doorstep!

"Furniture should celebrate the natural beauty of wood and the hands that shape them."
